Yeah....my buddy Trevor has an RCD on his '01(Trepaul86) and it rides sooo good. Sooo much better than mine. Then my other buddy Austin has a Superlift on his red '98 and he put coil-overs on it and it rides soooo much better too. After driving Trevors for the first time so long ago, I wanted 'em. Driving his and Austins back to back with mine, the improvements are HUGE!! Even with stiffer coil springs on them, the ride is soo much better than my torison bar double lifted truck. And....not as much sway with coilovers with the sway bar removed compared to torsion bars.

It'll happen someday for me.

Would this work on a stock suspension 4x4? Would love to get rid to those "wonderful" torsion bars.

Yeah....over at RF there's been a few 2wd torsion bars that've done it. I don't think any non-lifted 4x4's have done it yet, but I know there was some involved in the group buy. Nick at Off Road Unlimited has the correct shock needed for stock height, as well as Superlifted.

Get in touch with Jake/Shadow905 over at RF. I believe his price for the bracketry is just over $100. Not too shabby considering you can no longer get the RCD brackets from RCD anymore, and those were priced at almost $300 for the total set if I recall. Like said above, it's all bolt-in with the exception of the shock mount reinforcements which will need to be welded.

Coil-overs and coils will run about $500 or so.

shock mount reinforcements??

Is that what he is referring to as gussets?

If I can get the brackets from him I can get someone to weld them and stuff.

This sounds like fun now LOL

Other question since my truck is t-bar cranked how low will the front go down?

With coil-overs, you can be higher than torison bars. Coil-overs are ALOT more adjustable compared to torsion bars. Also, choose the coil spring rate wisely. Most 4x4's tend to go 750lb. #1 torsion bars are 625-650(I'm unsure on exact measurement, I've seen both listed.) You would think a higher spring rate would get you a rougher ride. Well....I've got a #1 torsion bar truck and regularly drive a 750lb coilover ranger and it's smooth and not as jolty as my tbars.

Myk....the bracket's go for 130$ plus shipping. If you ever in the near future thinkg your going to go superlifted you should wait and do that first....it will save you alot of money in the long run. The coilover's that I got for my truck were 750lb coils with Fox 2.0x6.5. 19.25 extended and 12 something collapsed ...I think.....the shocks cost me around 500$. If you a good sweet talker you maybe able to get Nick K over at ORW to give you the group buy rate. I know for a fact he was ordering more shocks from fox...just for the RF crew. You will also need new brake lines for up front...due to more downtravel. You need to purchase 2003 Jeep Wrangler *STOCK* front brake lines. Which are bolt up, fit perfect and are around 17$ a piece. If your intrested let me know. Shadow is not taking anymore orders via Rangerforums, due to some difficulties....but if you want to do this let me know, I'm good friends with him, and already spoke with him about you. He wouldn't be able to do them till next week sometime.....possibly.

I am not ever going to be super lifting.

Im waiting on Mr. Hondas insurance to pay me from the wreak. so I really have no idea when the funds will be here. It has been back and fourth with his insurance people about a amount.

So I could just go to autozone and get the brake lines or is there some where you got them
