Best Handling suspension..?

In a 2wd Ranger what years have a better ride? 93-97 or 98-2011? What about finding parts? more parts available for 93-97 or 98-2011?

what do you consider good ride quality, and over what kind of terrain?

Are you talking about lateral-G handling? Up-n-down comfort ride?

well normal roads.. live in Detroit, MI so not much dirt roads and winters are harsh on roads! I am doing a project trk and just wondering if different gens have better turning and handing then others.. dropping a 289 hypo with a c4 into a ranger reg cab... planning to use 2in drop control arms and rear axle blocks.. SLEEPER! zzzzz!

My '86 sc- stiff as a board (back breaker)
'92 sc- softer ride, cornering...not so much.
'04 edge ec - stiff-ish ride, best cornering of the three.

Mind you: I have upgraded to 18s and a 55 series tire, as opposed to the 16s and 75 series stock.

yeah my 89 reg cab was stiff and my 93 supercab 4X4 was awesome as far as both (ride and coners) my 99 supercab 4x4 was pretty good too.. just got an itch for a project trk..! I have a 94 reg cab splash 2wd but was considering getting a supercab frame and use part of the super cab as an addition to the back of the reg cab to make it look like a 56 f100 big window! Got the drive train figured out just needed some ideas on what GEN had a better suspension to work with! Thanks for all the info! Yes I wil post pics as i do the project...!
