Re: what shocks should i get?
Bilstein makes a nice replacement shock, If your off roading you can always step up to a Fox, king, sway away, etc etc but they are a little more $$$ and require fab work.

Rancho xl9000's, kinda spendy at first but ive heard very little complaints about them from every person I know that got them. I personally like them alot better than my bilsteins and I love the adjustability.

Re: what shocks should i get?
Whatever you decide upon be sure it has a lifetime warranty, so when you break one+ you can walk in with the recipt, and get free replacements forever.

Re: what shocks should i get?
This comment may not belong on this thread but it does have a question about shocks too. I have a problem with the strength of my rear springs. If I put about 200 lbs. in the bed the rear end of the truck sags quite a bit. So I stopped at a spring shop to get some ideas on fixing the problem. The first thing the owner looked at was the shackles and connectors welded to the vehicle for the leaf springs. He then told me that I would need these replaced in a year and that he could put another leaf in each spring now. Then he suggested Monroe reflex shocks for all four wheels. Is this sound advice for a 2002 ranger super cab with a 3.0? I don't do any off roading and just want a nice comfortable ride. Plus I need to be able to carry more weight in the bed and tow a 12 x 6 enclosed single axle trailer rated at about 3000 lbs.

Re: what shocks should i get?
Bilstein are the best imo... There not to much $$ and work well as a good duel purpose shock.
