Question Are KYB shocks any good?

I have a 2000 Ranger 2wd that needs new shocks...it has about 130k miles and the shocks look original because they're half rotted away.

I've narrowed down my choices to the KYB Gr2 or the KYB Gas A Just shocks.

Obviously anything will be better than whats on it now but my my question is if the Gas a Just are worth the $50 more price tag per set than the Gr2's.

I can get the gr2's for like $130 a set or the Gas a Just for like $180 a set.

What should I do?

I take it KYB shocks must suck since no one replied...i'm getting the Gabriel Ultras from Autozone instead...they look nice and get decent reviews. Anything is better than whats on there.

I just installed KYB Gas-a-Just shocks a few days ago. Very pleased with them. Have 2X4 with coil front. Replaced all 4. Like them better than the Monroe Sensatracks that these replaced. Bought them from kyboutlet.com, great price as I shopped around. KYB gets my vote.

I work at a parts store that sells Gabriel and KYB...There is a reason why KYB is factory on 80% of all passenger vehicles. I personally would recommend the Monomax's...But if your on a budget the gr2 and gas adjusts are good upgrades from stock.

I ended up buying the Gabriel Ultras from AZ cuz they were buy one get one half off or some shit plus I had a $20 AZ reward thing. They're O.k., now the ass end doesn't sag when i have some weight back there and when i hit bumps my steering wheel don't shimmy all over like it did.

I just bought them locally, i'm not too big on ordering car parts on the internet in case they send you the wrong crap.

Fyi I get better a ride with 32 psi all around than the recommended 30 psi that Ford out on door jamb. Makes a big difference. I ride on BFG long trails with KYBS.
