Default Front Tie Rod

Hey, Today i changed my Front end Tie rod, I changed both the inner and outer one. Because my truck was always pulling to one side. I have to go get it re-aligned and hopefully that will total fix my problem. The guy at the shop said it was my bearings then another guy said it was my tie rods where bad. So i changed those out.. So hopefully this fixes my problem when i get it re-aligned.

But i do notice when it rains and when i turn I can hear a roar sound. But idk that could be because a bad tie rod.. But yah i changed them and happy that it was successful

sure it might spin fine...mine spin fine, but my bearings are about gone. But they ain't growling yet. When they're growling/roaring at you, they are toast and if you continue to drive without checking them, actually pulling them out and repacking in the least, you may have a spindle failure in the short future. When bearings go like that, it's violent, it'll snap the spindle and the wheel will literally fly off the vehicle. For your own safety and others sharing your roads, check them out. Replace them. They're only like $8 a bearing.

how many miles on those bearings?

Oh...and tie rods 'pop' when turning, they don't roar.

Oh alright,
Are they hard to change? I have a Ranger 2wheel drive.
The mileage i will tell you that later because i am not sure of the exact number..

So its only about 8 buxs for the bearings? How much does the packing grease cost?

Grease is only about $5 a tub and you'll have the tub for years. I'm still on the same tub since '04. haha.

Grab yourself a chilton's or haynes manual...it'll give you all the proper torque procedures to get the job done. It isn't that hard after you've done it for the first time....almost all wheel bearings are done in a similar fashion.
