Default Loud clunk in the front end

hey guys another question.

my truck makes a really loud "clunk" in the front end sometimes during turns and sometimes starting from a dead stop.

i'v been reading i heard it may be my radius arm bushing but another thing is when i did my brakes one of my axle stubs in the front would spring back up into place on the passanger side and on the driver side it free moved with force by my hand and would not spring back. could that be something to worry about?

my 4x4 works great but i'm worried about these clunks

Are your sway bar links in tact? They are cheap and easy to fix. I had a clunking sometimes during turns, sometimes from a start, and found one of them to be sheared off.

Check your sway bar bushings too. If they are worn, the bar will move inside the bushing and clunk.

I would jack it up and put it on jack stands. Get under there and start jerking on the front tires. There is only so much that can make it make the noise. Sway bar bushings? tie rod ends? rad arm bushings. I beams?

Same thing here, only times two.
Purchased my 2001 Ranger XL four months ago. Dealer (in Michigan)
said it was "the best used truck on the lot." And, uh, I ... believed him.
Forked over $2,000 (borrowed) for the privilege of making payments on the remaining $2,000 balance. Doh.

Two months later, I have spent $1,500 replacing front end ball joints, cracked coolant tank, thermostat, maybe the water pump.

Took it back in yesterday with a lound "CLUNK" on the front end whenever turning right/left, even stopping. Almost always clunks in
reverse. So now they're replacing the control arm.

Hope that does it for awhile. I want to love this truck, not resent it!

No control arms in the ttb

You have the pivot bushings, radius arm bushings, upper/lower balljoint, u-joints, wheel bearings (they DO make clunks sometimes believe it or not), TREs, sway bar bushings...and I think that's about it.
