ball joints?
when I’m driving and I hit a bump I hear an unusual bumping noise.
I have an aftermarket leveling kit installed on my ford ranger
The kit is basically 2 spacers that sit on top of the coil springs,
after market upper control arms, and longer shocks.
I just noticed the upper control arm ball joint seals are both
busted and the upper control arms
seem to be hitting the frame when the truck hits a bump.
Would replacing the ball joints fix this problem?
The leveling kit has been installed for about 5 months now hasn’t
ever given me any problems until now.

Re: ball joints?
On the subject of Ball Joints, I had a question about replacing them myself. I watched the procedure on youtube and the guy used a ball removal tool to remove the old ball joints and seat the new ones. However, he did so with the help of an impact wrench. I do not have such a tool and was wondering if anyone had any additional information on whether or not the ball joint tool could be used with a hand wrench.
