Is the bolt loose?

If you take a hammer, and hit it will it slide back into place?

take some pressure off the leaf springs. try lifting the truck up a little bit the frame and see if you can pound it back over. Once the pressure is off it should move....Well in theory it should

Do NOT loosen the u-bolts. U-bolts stretch when they are torqued down properly..they will NOT tighten back up properly and you will end up with a broken spring shortly afterwards. Jack it up, put jackstands on the frame and hammer it back into place...check your center bolt to make sure that's tight. OR just get yourself a BFH and hammer it over.

i hear conflicting info on this. some people say they stretch, others say eff it and do what you want. i re-used u-bolts for awhile because i was going to do an axle swap shortly after, had no problems at all.

once i get out of this dang appartment i live in i will give it a shot, its not too concerning right now. i've never re-used u-bolts before so if all else fails i will just get new ones. they aren't that expensive.

New springs will set you back quite a pretty penny
