Default moog ball joints

Hi. I need help finding out which moog ball joints to buy if I will be replacing the upper and lower on each side. I have a 2003 edge 3.0 flex fuel.

I will be buying them from rockauto, but I am having trouble with which ones to choose. there seems to be more than one option for the upper and lowers.

Also, for the uppers, there seems to be 2 differenty types with the control arms. i dont know which ones to choose?

I also do not know if they are specific ball joints and control arms to buy for the drivers side and the passengers side.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

thanks,
nick

You have to replace the whole upper arm and ball joint at the same time.

If you get the right moog upper arm you can then in the future change just the ball joint.

as stl said, the entire upper arm has to be replaced, the stock ball joint isn't removable. also, the control arms are not side specific.

on the lower, ball joints are not specific to each side. i started a thread called 'comparable ball joints' which has the moog, napa blue boot, and other brands off different sites, that i ended up finding out on another site are all the same really, but cheaper at some sites since the name is different on the box.

thx for the info. on the website, there seems to be more than one option for the lower ball joints and the upper control arm with ball joint. I just want to make sure i buy the right parts.

you have one upper and one lower per side. multiple companies make parts for these trucks, or they change the part number for different year trucks.
