If someone can help it would be appreciated!!!
I have a 2000 Ranger XLT crew cab. when I reached about 80, 000 miles I discovered my right side tie-rod rubber boot torn, so I replaced both the driver's and passenger's side tie-rod ends. The driver's side was fine not torn, but I thought it best to replace both at the same time.
I purchased both sides (MOOG) from Rock Autoparts.
About 3,000 more miles I notice that my passenger's side boot was torn again. Left side was OK, so I bought another right side one from Rock auto and installed it.
Well about 3,000 more miles I looked underneath and discovered that the right side was again torn and the left side was still ok!
I now have 101,000 miles on my truck and have taken it to a auto repair shop to find out what the hell is going on, as the truck has never been in any accident and drives just fine.
The mechanic drove the truck and put it on the lift, but could not find anything wrong or any reason that the right side would keep taring.
If anyone out there has an answer why I continue to have this problem I would appreciate your feed back.
