Default New shocks with front lift?

I just bought a set of 4 Bilstein stock replacement shocks for my 03 Edge 2wd extra cab, and now im thinking about doing a 1-2" lift in the front while Im doing the shocks. The main reason i want to do this is because the back end of my truck is so light that driving this thing in the rain is dangerous...i have spun out on freeways for no reason at all, going straight at 40-50 mph not even on the gas. Im very lucky i havent crashed.
What I want to know is would a 1" lift in the front transfer some weight to the rear and solve this problem?
The website i got my shocks from says the Bilsteins work with a 0-1" lift. With the horrible stock setup I have, the front of my truck sits lower than the's ugly. Is it possible to go higher than 1" in the front with the Bilsteins?

Ive never done something like this to a truck, so i need to know what's the best way to do a small lift in the front. Where can i find the parts?

Also I read somewhere about doing a lift by turning torsion? What is that about?
I need to know what to get for the lift asap so i can do it when i do the shocks!!

If you are looking to level out your Ranger then here is the How to Link for a torsion bar crank which you truck has:

Torsion Lift Keys ???

The shocks will fit as long as all you are doing is leveling the truck which is only about 1" anyway.

As far as your truck spinning out in the rain there is nothing you can do for that other than to get better tires. Check them to make sure they are notalmost bald. I have a 2002 Edge and have no problems in the rain at speed or leaving a light. Unless I gun it hard then I can spin the back tires out.

That is the only thing I can think of as far as you spinning out.
2004 F-150 FX4 Supercab, Dark Shadow Grey, 5.4 liter Triton V8, Flowmaster Cat Back exhaust, K&N Drop-in, Intake "Gotts" Mod, Edge Programmer, 2.5" Level, Front tow hooks, 33" Falken Rocky Mountain ATS
Future mods: CB Radio, Dual band Ham Radio

The older I get the more I realize it is worthless to worry about tomorrow when you are living today. Love your family and friends, live like there is no tomorrow.
