Timkin brand exceeds OEM spec stuff. In my opinion, fix it right instead of using subpar parts that won't last as long...you'll be paying for it sooner than you think most the time. Check out www.rockauto.com's pricing....it's ALWAYS the cheapest even after considering shipping charges.

CV shaft is the driveline that sends power from the differential to the hub and in turn to the wheel. Got two rubber boots on it..can't miss it. Usually looks like your shock hits the CV shafts..but they don't. Pick yourself up a chilton's/hayne's manual for your truck...it'll help you out alot.

May I ask how many miles are on the truck??
ok i went to rockauto and theres like 5 different hubs to choose from. do u know which 1 i need?
unfortunatley i have 130,000 miles on her

edge or ranger....4x4 parts are all the same. You don't have an edge if it's an XLT. You'll also see next to the ttdi there's a little flag stating it's a europeon market truck. IDK why rockauto is like that....some years they list a Fx4 Level II and they makeit look like it's a totally different part needed for that model, which isn't the case.

as far as different options to choose from.... they usually are different brands and different prices with those different brands.

I just looked it up....the Timkin is the cheapest of the bunch at $193 before any discounts. Part # SP450201
