Drivers side sits low ..
I just got this from my son, pretty nice 98, owned since new. I replaced a broken sway bar link on the Drivers side. The trucks sits noticeably lower on the drivers side. He said a clunk, from I think was the link, has been making noise for a couple years.
Could it be that with broken link for so long suspension has taken a "set". I'm about to measure suspension components to try determine where the left side droop is coming from.
Any ideas as to what to inspect or measure....
Thanks
Jim

Re: Drivers side sits low ..
i would say that it is the normal ranger lean.... the gas tank is on the drivers side and that combined with the weight of the driver makes it lean to that side....

Re: Drivers side sits low ..
Most Rangers sit a little low on the drivers side, the gas tank is also on the left. Not uncommon at all.

Re: Drivers side sits low ..
Thanks,
Glad to know I must just have "Ranger lean". I haven't been shifting for awhile, this is son's truck, never had a new clutch. I remember the old days when doing a clutch every month or so was a badge of honor.
For chucks, and if you have suggestions. I've changed 6 plugs and wires, also blower motor resistor/pigtail (totally rusted and fused) fan worked only on only. Now OK. Also Mobil 1 5w30. I'll change other 2 plugs/wires when warmer and I have a clear head. How long may this clutch last?
Anything else to check with my "new Ranger". Brakes are less than a year old.
Thanks again,
Jim
