Default Rear Monroe Load Levelers

I am the original owner of a 1998 Ranger 4x2, 2.5L with 5 speed manual. The vehicle has just under 50,000 original miles. The rear springs have been updated to five plates. The rear shocks are original but serviceable. The vehicle rarely carries a load except in winter when five sand bags weighing about 375 pounds are added for traction. The rear goes down less now with the new springs but I want to compensate for the extra weight without changing the unlaiden height. Anyone out there with a similar Ranger who installed Monroe Load Levelers? If so did these shocks raise the height of the rear when unloaded?
Thank you,
BK14X32

Don't know about those but I think air shocks would do the job quite well.

Air shocks, in my experience, have a tendency to break shock mounts. Load leveling air bags are the better way to go for the occasional load.

I had air shock on my ElCamino (on there when i bought it), and I broke shock mouts. THIS is what I have on my truck, and I love it.
