Default Installing add a leafs and coil spacers?

I recently bought a kit that comes with add a leafs and coil spacers. How hard is it to install these? I'd love to do it myslef but I'm not real handy with vehicles. I dont know if it makes any difference in difficulty but my truck is a 97 Ranger XLT 4x4.

its not that hard basic hand tools will install them but the coils are gona be the hardest part, but that isnt hard at all to remove the coils and put them back in with the spacer.

Overall is very easy to do. Hardest part is getting the nut off the coil spring. It takes a 1-1/16 socket I believe. youll want at least a 1/2" drive. Drop the socket down thru the top, put on your extensions followed by your ratchet and get a BFP and have at her.

You will need to use the truck jack or a small floor jack and stick it on top of the control arm and jack against the frame of the truck to lower the TTB down far enough to get the coil out. It will come out without the jack, but installing the coil spacer will require it to be forced down. The best way is to take the control arm nut off and disasemble. But it can be done with the jack

I plan to get an alignment once im done so thats not that big of an issue. Ok, another question for you guys, my shocks and coil springs are super duper rusted, would this be a good time to go ahead and replace them since Im gonna be messing around in that area?

shocks, yes. Coils, yes if they are pitted really bad or sagging....dude, I would just personally call up Rough Country and get leveling coils. They're only $130 shipped if you tell them that you are a member here (auto 10% off!!)

It's a little late for that, I got a great deal on this kit so I couldnt beat it. Im probly gonna wire brush the springs and paint em with rustoleum unless they look really bad when I get em off. I will get new shock though.
