Default Removing front springs...

I'm used to struts. This SLA non strut setup is like trying to understand spanish. I can kind of do it, but not really. I'm assuming I have to pop a balljoint? I rented a pickle fork from the 'Zone and I have no idea WTF to do with it. I'm afraid to break the boot lol. I already undid the swaybar.
My old Accord I just hammered out the ball joint to remove the axle, but, I messed up a lot of things on that car
Thanks!

You should be fine with the pickle fork. Undo the ball joint nut and pop the ball joint out, just pay attention to what you are doing and you won't damage the boot. I put a floor jack under the arm to make sure it didn't just drop due to the spring pressure.

There are two bolts on the shock under the arm that need to be removed as well.

To lower the arm, just lower the jack.

The spring should just come right out then.

Installation is the reverse but it will take some finagling to get the shock to line up right and so on. The floor jack helps you out a lot with this.

EDIT: The Haynes manual does recommend using a spring compressor but I didn't feel I needed one with the floor jack taking the strain.
