Default truck pulls to right under power, to left under braking.

A few days ago as I backed into a parking space at work returning from lunch. I heard an odd sounding thump just as I was stopping.

I went into work and forgot about it.

A few hours later I jump into the truck and leave. I immediately notice a fairly steady pull to the right which becomes an even stronger pull to the left under braking. I can actually steer the truck with the brake pedal!

I drove it the 12 miles home. No weird noises or anything, just the pulling right/left.

Haven't driven it since. I am off tomorrow and will go out there and have a look underneath.

Anyone with any ideas what i might find?

Try checking your caliper slider pins. They might be corroded and sticking.

wish it was pins.

just looked under the front drivers side and discovered the radius arm rusted through and broke off at the axle. not sure how the hell it was even drivable, but, looks like i got some work to do.

anyone know a good source for these? Anyone got a set of unrusted used ones they want to part with for a reasonable price? having a little difficulty finding them. NAPA has something listed as a radius arm bracket. he went ahead and ordered it, but, i don't think it will be the right part.

What I would do in your case then is to take off the part that broke and take it in to Napa, just to match up parts. That way, you can make sure you get the right part, and won't be worried about (and spending the money for) something that you can't use or don't need.
