Default where to get new leaf spring?

i have a 2001 xlt and in need of new driver side rear leaf spring. i dont want to get it through ford b/c they'll try to charge me up the ass for a new 1. any suggestions on where to get a new leaf would be great. thanks

I'd check your local junk yards first. But if you wanted brand new, I did a quick Google search and a bunch of sites came up. Here's one of many...

do you want a little lift? if so get some a set of 4 spring packs out of an explorer you will get around 2-3 inches of lift

I added add-a-leafs to my 2000 Ranger 4x4 a year or two ago and I just went into my local parts store and ordered them. They have a spring shop here in northern Michigan that makes them. They were reasonable too, If you still ahve trouble post online here and I will forward their information.

thanks for all the helpful feedack. i went on a few different sites and all of them have the option to buy a light duty, a heavy and a regular duty spring. how do i know which 1 my truck needs?

you either have a mono left or a multi pack set other than that they should all be that same

I got my leafs from JC Whitney for my last truck. Price wasnt too bad and they were at my front door in 3 days
