Default 3 inch body lift

whats a fair price to buy and have installed a 3 inch body lift. i live in las vegas and pretty much the going rate is $1,100 up to $1,300 seems awlful high for something that sells for only $200 the truck is a 2000 4x4 extended cab stepside with a/c and a 3.0 flex motor

Dude that's ridiculous. I would search around for any and all how-to's... on here and other ranger forums. And download and print their installation instructions, which aren't bad, just don't have a lot of pictures. Do it yourself. You might need a friend to help you with loosening the body bolts (you will need MAP gas torch to heat the lock-tight to loosen easier, or an impact wrench... the friend will use a big pair of channel locks to hold the body bushing from spinning), and you will need a jack, and a decent set of sockets. It might take you a day... or maybe 2, depending on how fast you work, and how many times you have to stop to go buy the right tool if you don't have it. The couple days effort, if it takes that long... is well worth saving the $1100 or $1300 or whatever.

$1100 - $1300? I am in the wrong business. Like Mykhael said it is not that hard. Just invite some buddies over to help and supply the food and drinks. Plus when you are done you will more than likely have a good story to tell.

You could try to get a BL meet going. I've seen a lot of those on the forums.

Ya. Our years 98~00 are extremely easy because most of the bl kits out there are based from our year...everything lines up fits and works and they all come with very detailed instructions.
