Default Help With Rear Spring Idea

hey guys I was just thinking about something and getting some opinions. Im finally thinking about putting in my lift shackles in the back but was curious do you think taking out the stock block and putting some explorer leafs in would make for a better ride?

I realize its a truck and its not going to ride perfect but the explorer leafs will give about the same amount of rear lift as the stock block/leaf/shackle combo and figured that just a leaf with no block at all would ride better in the rear. Maybe not alot but atleast alil. Let me know what you all think, and try to stick to legit serious answers only.

Hopefully those of youal that are superlifted, or sas'd, etc will chime in beens you all would have more knowledge of it all. thanks, Zach.

i like it, i think it might ride a bit softer tho, my assumption and it is just that, would be that the ranger had a bit shorter and more rigid spring in the back to make it better for a loaded bed, an explorer was set up for holding groceries and kids in the back... but it is an interesting idea to swap in.

yeah I mean we all know the rear of our trucks bounce bad if they are empty and spring riding on a block isnt necessarily the best for comfort lol. I just thought maybe using just a higher lift spring and taking out the stock block, even though achieving the same amount of lift with stock block/sprint/shackle would ride alil better you know. idk but thanks for the response, I can respect the way you answered it even though you didnt really have a specific answer that could totally answer it you know.

for sure, i like the idea a lot, i think it would be fun to try, plus if you are planning on lifting the truck more, its steps in the right direction, i say do it! if not a lot of people are doing it cause we havent thought about it, you might satart a new trend, especially since my bed is rarely loaded down, if its a bit softer the onlything i stand to gain is better flex
