Front shocks for my 01 Edge
Hello everyone,
So I blew out a shock playing on some whoops in the desert. As a temp fix I replaced it with a budget shock until I decide what I should run on the front. I was wondering if anyone had any wisdom on a pair of decent priced replacements. I'm not building a a pre runner, I just want some decent shocks. 01 Ranger Edge 3.0L with 31/10.5/R15s. Thank you very much for your responses!

Bilstein
yeah those look pretty good, i'd imagine i'd want the 2wd ones, I'm a little worried that they have the same part number listed for both the front and rear? ( AllShocks.com | 2001*FORD*Ranger Trail Head/Edge Bilstein Shocks') also, pardon my ignorance but does anyone know if i have a front torsion bar as part of my suspension?

The only way I would get bilsteins would be if I wanted rezzies. Not a fan of old GM technology, but to each his own.

You have an EDGE so you have the torsion bar suspension

well i'd say get some fox shocks but the $$ is too much for even me... but i'm planning on these edelbrock reservior shocks, look em up. I think i found a set of 6(for duals up front) for 600. Don't remember exactly, but they look badass! if that counts for anything, but you can see my suspension pretty well since its lifted and goin higher SOON!

I wholeheartedly agree. Bilstein comes stock on my ranger and after owning 3 rangers previous to this one, there is an amazing difference. Rancho would be good too, but my preferrence is Bilstein.

It's not showing the same part # for me, front is 2794 rear is 2795.
And as Justin said, yes you have a torsion bar suspension.

I had Rancho's and they were way to stiff. Replaced they with KYB's. Much better ride and control. (2wd w/coil spring front end)
