Default Shock absorber maintenance interval

My ranger is already making the "Hey pal I need new shocks here" clatter, and it doesn't pass the bounce test.
At 30,000 miles?
Are torsion bar suspensions harder on front end shocks? Because I'm not purposefully abusive with it.

honestly 30,000 miles is too soon have you cranked the T bars? or done anything to make them wear out sooner. Cranking the T bars will put more stress on them. Are they the factory shocks? and what kind of ranger do you drive? I know the factory shocks are not that great. but ford recommends 50,000 miles before changing shocks and the clatter noise??? where is that noise coming from if you can found out let me know

Everything is stock. EVerrrrything. The soft occasional clatter clearly is worn shocks. But so darn soon man.

check the shock mount bushings as well as the tightness of the bolts holding them in.. that could solve your "clatter" issue.

as for not passing the "bounce" test... idk what to tell you on that one, sometimes parts wear earlier than their life expectancy.
