Wait... is this on the truck that you have in your sig?

If so, youre talking about torsion bars, not springs

NO Ranger has coil-overs stock. Just because there's a shock inside a coil DOES NOT mean it's a coil-over....many many cars are setup in this fashion. And 98+ coilspring 2wd rangers are.

If you're working what's in your sig, "99 4x4, body lift, ProComp 52 15x8s, 1000 watt stereo," you DO NOT have coil springs, you've got torsion bars. There is no such thing as a spring booster on a torsion bar suspension...

jack the truck up, take the shock off, disconnect the swat bar, jack the lower arm up all the way, pop the lower or upper ball joint and SLOWLY release the tension on the arm and the spring will come out.
