Default wheel bearing trouble

i have a 2005 ford ranger that has been giving me trouble since i bought it. It started cupping the front tires after about 3,000 miles. Since then i have replace the lower ball joints, wheel bearings, and shocks. I am now having a problem with the wheel bearings loosening up after about 250 miles of driving after they are freshly packed.

I used high temp wheel bearing grease and followed the tightening instructions exactly. 25 lb/ft while spinning the rotor, packed it off 1/2 turn and re-tightened to 20 in/lbs while turning the rotor. I could feel a little bit more than .005" play in the bearings so i tightened it to about 30in/lbs.

What could cause the wheel bearings to loosen up so quickly? I did notice that the steering rack has some play in it and i plan on changing it this week. Could this be causing the problem or did i torque the wheel bearings incorrectly?

Check the auto parts stores and place like summit racing but I think you'll have to go to the stealership for something like that.
