Ok so it snowed bad 2 days ago and some bitch hit me and i slid right into a curb strsight on going about 20mph. Both front of my wheels are almost touching my wheel wells! And are kinda tilted. Got it home. Took tires off. And nothing is broke! I expected to see a broken lower ball joint on each side! Nope. Everything is together and in tact. As soon as i let the jack down. And let the truck bavk on yhe ground, it looks like the front end is lowered. Both sides sagging. Its like the torsion bars arent there or something the way it looks. It sags all the way until the a arm bumpers touvh the lower control arms.* Anybody got any ideas??? I gotta look tommorow in the daylight again. Looked this evening in yhe dark with some led lights but still. Im stumped. The frame doesnt look twisted or snything. Shocks, sway bar links, tie rids, ball joint are all mounted and intact. Same for the control arms. Dont look bent or anything. 01 ranger edge 4x4 4.0. Idk if it bent the torsion bars maybe. Or maybe they just need reset. Or are the shocks blown out??? Even if they were wont the torsion bars still hold the front end up??? Any hel0 would be appreciated. I am pretty good with cars. But this had me stumped. Thanks

Report it as a hit and run asap! You shouldn't have left the scene quickly and tried to see if there were any witnesses and call the cops from there.

But about your truck, something is bent. Balljoints bend easy as do a-arms. I have a whole pile of racecar suspension parts. It's easy to fix, you just need to diagnose what all is bent, daylight helps.

that to me almost looks like the whole front suspension/axle is shifted WAY to the driver's side. I would check all frame mounts for damage. I would not be surprised if the frame is bent

Yea there is definitely some damage there. The passengers side is kicked way in and the drivers side kicked back. No way to tell exactly what is wrong until you jack it up and get under there. That sucks but hopefully your insurance will not leave you high and dry or the police find the person responsible.

my advise, have it towed to a reputable body shop and let them look at it. A lot of them do free estimates

Yea frame is bent. What i expected honestly. First shop quoted 1200 to fix. I no a few buddies that own body shops tho. Prob get done fir 500 or so. Dont think i wanna make a insurance claim and take aloss on it. I like the truck to much and it runs damn good. Not to many miles and i got a deal on it too. If i gotta put 5 to 700 in it so be it.
