Default Explorer vs Ranger rear leafs

Who runs these and how well do they perform off road? From reading up it does stiffen up the back which could cause it to bounce but what about pulling out the overload spring?
Anyone try it?

I’ve been running leaf springs from a 4 door expo for a few years now. They are stiffer than any of the stock ranger spring options (there were three of them). I don’t know what their is exact spring rate is, but “750 lb springs” is a rating that gets thrown around a lot. I did not notice a significant difference in ride quality.

As far as off-road performance, they move quite well. I don’t jump the truck, so I don’t know how they would handle that kind of compression/rebound, but the rear end of the truck articulates well (the tires hit the bed sides before of run out of spring compression).

I’ll give em a try since I have them. 2 spare tires will be in the rear so the added weight should help.
I don’t need much lift in the rear. I will also be running a fully width
8.8. Eventually a 4 link will go in.
