My daughter and I are working on her new to her Ranger, and it came to us with a rotted out front coil spring bucket/tower. It's the component riveted to the frame and has one bolt through it to the crossmember. We bought one of there:

But the mounting holes don't match up exactly, and the hole the break hose mounts to isn't even there. Not sure whet the hex holt on it is for, but the original has two holes in it, and this is missing that one.
So the big question is this- I can get the new bracket in there and bolted on with at least two bolts through the original mounting places. I can open up the mounting holes so they will be usable on at least a third. I was also going to wire-brush and media blast the surface rust/leftover chunks form the original plate, and use the shiny bare metal to MIG the plate on with.
I figure the mounting holes will allow for proper alignment of the plate, and 3 bolts plus welding will allow it to be a secure attachment.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions- even another supplier for the mounting plate. Thanks.
