Your options are pretty limited. In fact, there are really only 3:
-torsion bar crank
Free (plus cost of alignment), good for ~1.5” of lift. However, since your torsion bars are worn, there’s probably not a whole lot of adjustment left in them. You could go with a new set of torsion bars and then use the STOCK keys to adjust them.
- 3” body lift
Lift kit itself runs 200-300$, install is gonna vary. This spaces the body away from the frame by 3”, giving clearance for larger tires. However, it won’t increase break over clearance, and you’ll see notice more visible frame rail.
-4” superlift
This is the only suspension lift available for the torsion bar 4wds. It’s also the most expensive. You’ll end up spending ~2,000$ on parts.
Really, it comes down to your budget and what you want to do with the truck. If all you want to do is clear the larger tires, I would throw on a body lift and call it a day.
Personally, I went with the 4” superlift. But, this was because a got a good deal on one.
