Default 2001 4wd edge lift options?

Recently had my motor rebuilt and everything is up and running again, with that out of the way, I wanna look at what options there are and what would be the best way to go... any suggestions? I already have 33x12.5x15 and I have the notorious tbar sag so I rub a lot and had to cut the bumper to lessen the rub...

Your options are pretty limited. In fact, there are really only 3:

-torsion bar crank
Free (plus cost of alignment), good for ~1.5” of lift. However, since your torsion bars are worn, there’s probably not a whole lot of adjustment left in them. You could go with a new set of torsion bars and then use the STOCK keys to adjust them.

- 3” body lift
Lift kit itself runs 200-300$, install is gonna vary. This spaces the body away from the frame by 3”, giving clearance for larger tires. However, it won’t increase break over clearance, and you’ll see notice more visible frame rail.

-4” superlift
This is the only suspension lift available for the torsion bar 4wds. It’s also the most expensive. You’ll end up spending ~2,000$ on parts.

Really, it comes down to your budget and what you want to do with the truck. If all you want to do is clear the larger tires, I would throw on a body lift and call it a day.

Personally, I went with the 4” superlift. But, this was because a got a good deal on one.

I want a super lift but it's a lot of money... I'm not really a fan of body lifts even tho they're cheaper and somewhat simpler to install but they just don't sit right with me, something about them just gives me a bad feeling... but for now I think I'll order a new pair or torsion keys but do you really think I'll need new bars too??

There’s not really anything wrong a body lift. Plenty of guys have run them with out issue.

I️ would NOT recommend aftermarket torsion keys. They give the potential to push the front suspension way past it’s intended limits.

Replacing the bars depends on how worn they are and what rating they were to begin with.

From the looks of it I think I'm gonna need to invest in new bars alone, the one side is maxed out and it looks like it's loosened all the way, other side is fine... any advice on any certain bars and keys?

Factory #1 bars and stock 1998-2007 keys will get you the most “lift” you can safely get out of factory suspension. It will also give you the firmest ride.
