I am replacing the front wheel bearings on my 94 RWD.

Question, how do I find out what size ring gear I have? Rockauto offers WB's for 7.5 & 8.8 ring gears. I was hoping I could order the correct parts
prior to tearing out the bearings to find out the size.

Also, is there one manufacturer that is better quality than the other regarding wheel bearings?

ring gear in the rear differential? there should be an axle code either stamped on the rear diff case, or the axle code will be printed on the sticker located on the driver side door jamb. once you have the code, you can look up the size, type, & ratio either on this forum or elsewhere online. OR i bet if you posted a pic of it, somebody here would be able to tell you lol

on wheel bearings... Timken is a great brand. i don't think i've ever heard of a more recommended brand for pickups and cars

i'm kinda curious why rockauto is making you pick a rear diff size when buying front bearings? idk just seems strange lol
