I 'm the first one to admit that I am far from a shock expert. However, most of the information I've read says that valving, even on high end shocks, makes all the difference in the world when it comes to ride quality. I've also read some conflicting information on whether the 255/70 valving is the better fit for this application.

well in truth, I am relying on my past experiences and personal references within the "import" car aspects. So in trucks I may be way off as far as valving or other things related.
When I was doing my autocross EG Hatch, I used forever it seemed KYB AGX which like bilstien had specific valving which controlled flow via an adjustment which for the above stated vehicle was only a 4 way, vs say the Integra 94+ having 8 way.
Setting 4 being the stiffest was like a super ball, setting 1.. HAhaha Well setting one was so soft it could make the X-wife throw up in a map pocket within 3.25 miles. Needless to say she hated my track toy.
I would assume similar for Bilstiens unless otherwise different.
