New to Rangers (purchased an 04 FX4 OffRoad last week), and definitely new to torsion bars.
I'm planning on lifting my front by cranking my T-bars (thankfully did a bunch of searches and realized I do NOT want to change my keys- just crank the bars). I'll immediately be getting an alignment (because the camber will change- some threads talk about the toe in changing, not sure why that would be affected). I've looked at the bolts, and it appears they still have a lot of adjustment left in them, so I'm hoping to get the stance fairly level.
My question is
"How do I tell if I have the camber adjustment plates in my truck?" From what I've read some Rangers come with them and some do not? Although I've done a bit of wrenching over the years (including replacing the front steering/susp on my '65 Mustang), I've never encountered a "camber plate," so I'm not sure what it would look like.
I also purchased some Rancho RS5000X shocks to preserve the suspension travel (some threads claim the stock shocks can handle the T-bar lift- but others quite pointedly note that the shocks become the limiting factor after the lift, and using extensions or longer shocks is the way to go).
TIA! -Pete
