Default new shocks on my 97 splash

Well after 174,000 miles i decided to replace the shocks on my splash. I never noticed over time how much my truck sagged. I can feel the difference when i sit in it that its a little taller.. I measured before and after and its 2 inches up from the old shocks.. WOOHOO free lift lulz and it only took me about 1.5 hours to do it.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha......shocks giving you a lift. What is next, stickers giving you 10HP each?

wow *******... my old shocks were completely shot... and yes it brought my truck back up to stock ride height by replacing them with new ones. I was joking about the free 2 inch lift. 175,000 miles on any suspension is going to sag. I wasn't claiming that i got 2 inches higher from just shocks.

No you didn't. Unless you put solid bars in place of the shocks, it is impossible for the shocks to lift the truck.

Obviously you have ne clue how shocks work with the weight of the truck.

If the old shocks lost their preload, the new ones will lift the truck up some.

Shocks can't pull a truck down if they lose their preload. If that were the case, it would pick the vehicle up off the springs.

Have you ever removed a set of shocks that were application specific and seen a truck drop?

All shocks are there for is to dampen the bumps a vehicle goes over on the road, nothing else. The springs do all the holding of the weight of the truck.
