Default RCI Skid Plate concern

Hoping I put this in the right spot but anyways, here's the question. I recently picked up a used RCI front skid plate for my '99 and I'm noticing it only has the four mounting holes up near the radiator on the frame. The stock one mounts in the front and further to the rear on the crossmember. Anyone ever have any problems with this? Also the mounting hardware looks pretty small.

IIRC - I didn't use the provided hardware. I believe I tapped the holes & used actual bolts w/ Loctite versus the self-tappers.

That said, I believe all sorts of people have used the self-tappers provided without issue.

EDIT: Maybe I didn't bolt it & did just utilize the self-tappers...I can't remember. However, I know we could basically to "pull-ups" off the thing then it was installed. Wasn't going anywhere.

I was planning on just finding new bolts that will engage the existing welded nuts in the frame, I got it used with no hardware

On this same subject, anyone have experience with a front mount receiver and front skid plate either RCI or stock?

I have no experience, but just chiming in on the skid plate itself, badass piece of steel, good $200 buy for me, like a rock
