Bolt on lower control arm has been wiped clean
Not good, to think I just replaced my rusty ass looking control arms for some MOOG control arms, I thought it was gonna be a good replacement.
So basically the built it bolt in the control arm has snapped off, there are two of these that support the shock. So my shock is supported by one only..its gonna be a matter of time before the other gives out from the tension.
BADDD

OLD control arm, what other side looks like.

I would not recommend MOOG for the lower control arm, I would go with the Adelco professional quality on rock auto, only two bucks more
MY options are to drill it out, and replace with bolt and washer.
or just try to return it to moog and get the Adelco one..
Any comments, suggestions?

Drill it out.
It either was over tightened and twisted, or it was loose and was moving around. The picture kind of looks like it was twisted off from over tightening.
edit: you might be able to knock it out with a hammer like a wheel stud. It might be pressed in.

djfllmn, "he-man"??
so you are saying its not a big deal?
I'd want to drill it out without releasing the springs

You may be able to use a punch and knock it out. But like others said you over tightened which brings the term "he man".

Air chisel works the best in a situation like this. However a punch and BFH does the job too

Re: Bolt on lower control arm has been wiped clean
bahaha I realized how noobie I would sound. When I googled it I got distracted by the Usain bolt punch fight.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
