Exactly.
You won't even be using the full range of travel so it's fine either way.

HELL YEAH.
My 5100 series for the front costed me like $186 a pair.
Unless you got the 4600 series, I can see that. It's still a decent price for the 4600, which isn't far off from the 5100 anyways.

Re: The Ranger Bilstein 4600/5100 Shock Buying Guide
Amazon had the cheapest price for my 4600s. I paid 72 per shock. Real happy with them.

Re: The Ranger Bilstein 4600/5100 Shock Buying Guide
How much stiffer does the Bilstein's ride?
I have MONROE 37153 {#911153} OESpectrum Light Truck
http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo....372676&jsn=469
They are a VERY coushy and smooth ride. The bumps could probably be evened out a little better, but overall since the truck is a highway warrior and my DD I want something smooth.
I keep reading everywhere that Bilstein's are harsh... which is not what I want. I wouldn't mind a firmer ride IF it's not harsh.
I'm just reluctant to drop almost 300 for shocks and then find out the ride is way too harsh type of deal.
2001' XLT with 3-4" spindle lift, and rear blocks with 2" lift shackles. I was going to go or try the 4600 series.
The Monroe shock is a dual tube where as the bilstein is mono tube (not even sure which is better if any)

The Bilsteins are awesome shocks. I had them with my stock coil springs and it was an incredibly smooth ride. Absorbs the hits very well but doesn't do the 3-bounce BS. Bounces once, and levels out smoothly.
Best way I can describe it.

Re: The Ranger Bilstein 4600/5100 Shock Buying Guide
How about if you plan on living the double lifted life? T bar crank and superlift? I'm assuming I'd need the 5100's?
