Post Best Shocks to run?

I'm lifting my truck 5-6" both in the front and in the rear, do I need to replace the shocks or can I run stock? Links would be great, thanks!

What kind of lift? Body? Spindle? Spacer? Some combination of the three?

Spindle and a coil lift in the front, blocks and either aal or shackles in the back.

Well, you won't need longer shock for the spindle lift, and as long as the coil lift is 2" or under you won't need longer shocks for it either.

For the rear however, you will need longer shocks.

Also, blocks are far from the ideal way to lift the rear

Well, the ideal way would be to get actual lift springs. They come in various sizes (4" 6" etc ) and have a higher arch to lift the truck without destroying ride quality. But, they can be expensive.

Another option would be to run shackles and explorer leafs, this would give you around 5" of lift (which would level the truck)

A third option would be a combination. You could run shackles, add a leaf, and a 1.5" block from an 08+ ranger. Minimizing the size of the block you run will minimize the negative effect it has (mainly axle wrap). Block aren't completely worthless, but guys try and run gigantic blocks or stack them, and that's when bad things happen.
