Default Mild Offroad Shocks?

I'm looking to replace my shocks on my 2wd. As is, the shocks are so worn that the truck bobs on even the slightest bumps and does it's signature "Three Bob Salute" when I hit a bigger bump. I would go with the cheap OM Monroe-Matics, but I've read many reviews saying that they aren't any better than the worn shocks they replace. Plus, I enjoy doing a little mild offroading now and again and am afraid of ruining brand new shocks because they are low quality or whatnot. The set I'm looking at are Monroe Sensa-Tracs. They've got good reviews and seem stronger than their OM counterparts (biggest thing is they're in my budget lol).

Basically, I'm asking how good these shocks are for light offroad use. I can't afford Rancho's unless i buy front/back at different times, but I would be interested in buying them and installing them front/back separately if it is safe. Any other opinions are coolio too!

Might want to look into bilstein 5100 series or if those are too much, their "heavy duty" shock is good too.

I got a set of bilstein 4600s I ordered the 2 front one week and the 2 rear the next week from allshocks.com and they gave me free shipping on the second set. I got them for about 73 dollars each.

I bought a pair of Bilstein 5100's that are just the shock, non-adjustable cause that wouldn't do our trucks any good. Haha I bought them off ebay for $84 a piece and stainless steel, hardware + bushings. You get free stickers too! This is my stock Motorcrafts next to the Bilsteins

Yeah seriously. Haha I think it's just mud, I took them off and let my girlfriends dad have them, they still ride pretty soft for being so old and abused. Gotta love Rangers right
