Suspension components to soften a jump?
Basically im not building a dedicated prerunner, hell im on the east coast lol. But what if the time comes and all i've got are shackles and spindles, im sure those wont like to get beaten up. Is there anything to make it a little safer?

Im no suspension expert, but if you gonna be wanting to get some air even a little spindles alone wont be enough. Go to camburg's website and they have these brackets that weld to frame and or suspension components so that your ranger can handle off road situations better without breaking or bending critical suspension components. Check em out...

Re: Suspension components to soften a jump?
camburg 5.5 kit is what you want, all bolt on and a better ride. And if you want to upgrade more you can do the 2.0 upgrade.

Im glad I have 4.10s stock haha.

Wait say I dont want to trash my spindles and go full Camburg. Is there a way I could say build my own "frankenburg 5.5"? Like some sort of uniball uppers, 2.5 lift springs and my current spindles? And is there even reservoir shocks that can fit in the stock location?

Re: Suspension components to soften a jump?
Yeah you can, a fabrication shop called BTF fab makes some uniball uppers for rangers that are bolt on and way stronger than stock uppers. They run about $585 or something, then you could use lift spindles, 2.5 lift coils and a bilstein shock. That's pretty much a 5.5 kit.
And you could run reservoir shocks with a 5.5 kit, but it will involve cutting and welding.

Re: Suspension components to soften a jump?
This is what I have now. Not exactly a 5.5 kit but close.
It is a fabtech upper, doestch tech lift spindles, bilstein shocks, and stock coils. I have some fabtech 2.5 coils, I just didn't want the added ride height and stiffer ride.
