Those yellow bilsteins are known for being stiff, much stiffer than stock so either you got the onlynsoft set ever produced or need to keep looking for issues.

The springs have very little to do with it. What do you think shock absorbers are meant to do? They are designed to slow down rate of travel and resist movement. When you bounce the front bumper of a vehicle and step back good shocks will bring the vehicle back to a stable position within 1 to 2 bounces not 3 or 4. Springs with age and use sag. Even if they get a little soft it shouldn't make a difference. These Bilsteins are soft as shit. I know they are better than nothing. Even worn out shocks work a little bit. Have you tried bouncing the front of your vehicle with no shocks? Do that and you might understand what shocks are meant to do.

Let me put it this way I have immensely more suspension work than you with immensely more expensive shocks. If you grab the front bumper and shake it the truck will bounce multiple times. The shocks are valved correctly for the truck the coils however are designed for a substantially lighter jeep. When I swap to the proper ppi couls do the front of the truck post engine swap that issue will disappear without changing shocks as if by magic.
Guess what the rear with wagoneer lift leafs doesn't continue to bounce under the same scenario.
Remember I have like 7k worth of suspension/axles sitting under my truck...

Springs have a lot to do, with, you know, spring rate. You can't turn an 85 chevy truck into a racecar with stiff shocks. You know why? BECAUSE SPRING RATES. Shocks are NOT the miracle fix to bouncy/flexy/soft suspension. Your goddamn truck rides like a goddamn truck because it's a goddamn truck.
You're pretty effing special.

I'm no expert, but when I replaced my shocks and my Ranger still rode like a truck....
I shrugged and moved on with my life because It's a truck. Just because it's a little truck doesn't mean it's going to be anymore car-like than a bigger one. It's still designed like a truck, and I consider that a pro.
OP, have you considered a Honda Ridgeline? I hear they ride real nice.

I have a hard time believing the OP puts 500 miles on his truck in a week. If he did, he would have gotten used to the ride by now and shut the hell up.
But, what do I know, I only live 3 miles down an Icy Death Road haha
