Craigslist / eBay Find: NEED ADVICE!! found used lowering kit

i found this lowering kit, its a djm 2/3 drop. this is what he emailed me.

"Yes, the lowering kit is for sale separately for $300 per the ad, and are a year and a half old and used.

Kit includes front and rear shocks, front springs, and the rear shackle and flip kit (2 inch front drop, 3 inch rear, levels out the truck).

I will also include brand new rear leaf spring hangers (which are known for rusting out), and a pair of brand new front end links (Which are known for breaking) as part of that price.

It was on my V-8 swapped 1998 2wd Ford Ranger, and performed wonderfully."

is it worth buying used? if im going for it ill offer lower but it would be a 300 mile drive to check it out, probly $50-60 in gas. what y'all think?? thanks!!!

everyoneis entitled to their own opion, i think lowered rangers look good

as for the price, i think hes high, you don't really need the shocks with a 2/3, you can get a flip kit, and the springs for less then this

yea about $460 on summit racing with shocks.

yea idk what that guys thinkin.

anyways, yea especially if i can get the kit NEW for $460. id really like to get the shocks though, ive heard its pretty wishy washy without the right shocks. my stock ones would not really be in its travel range

try and talk him down, even if he doesnt i think its ok

Try to talk him down. If you cant get him down a little lower, leave it and keep looking. The springs ~100$ the flip ~50. But it really up to you.

yea ill call him tomorrow, ill ask him what his bottom buck is and then just offer $200 maybe, since its a damn hike to get down there.

oh and how much heavier is the 5.0? would it have squatted the coils lower (if that makes sense)

no like what i was trying to say was would the coils be sitting lower since its been in a v8 swaped truck for 1.5 years because of the weight? yea i dont want it lower than 2" up front
