How would one go about putting these on? Is it difficult to do?

It shouldnt be that hard to do. Ive never done it on my ranger but I have done it on my old car which was front wheel drive so alot less room to work and very annoying. Basically your going to remove the tire and brake components, un bolt the sway bar and tie rod, and then your going to need to unbolt either the upper or lower ball joint so the lower arm can drop out, probably the lower. however, you are goin to want to keep a jack under the lower arm because the spring is slightly compressed and you dont want it unloading, possibly causing injury.

This link is for installing a suspension kit, but will tell you how to remove and replace the coil.

those coils are for 98 and up, so upgraded upper control arms are pretty much required
