Default Shotgun deal

Remington 870 SPS Super Mag used for sale at a scheels near me for $400 used. Wondering if this was a good deal considering no wear visible on outside. Before I go buy it I will make sure to check barrel with a LED light along with the choke. The rod/green dot scope is included for turkey hunting but I was wondering with different choke set-ups (and scope removed) if I could duck/goose, pheasant hunting and skeet shooting with gun or if they barrel would be so short (20") that a line of sight would be hard to make quick accurate shots. I couldn't find much reviews about it so I thought I'd ask you guys.

Not a bad deal but that would only be good for, Turkey, Predator, and home defense. Not much use for any other kind of hunting or trap shooting.

The thing with these 870s is, the action is identical for all lines, from basic to high end. I just sold my 870 tactical for $350. With that being said, $400 may be a bit high.

I would look for a used 870 basic of the basics, should be able to get one for around 200-250. Then purchase what you want to for it. (stocks, foregrips, sights, etc)

I would pass on it and go buy a brand new 870 Super Magnum, which are less than $400
