I agree. If they were going to pass they should have ran the read option. They over thought it. They wanted to be able to use all 3 downs if needed. They needed one of the 3 to be a pass because they only had one timeout left. I would have ran it twice and lived with it.

True, i would have still passed, with 1 time out left if it wasnt a completed pass it kills clock, then you have a time out and can run it twice

If they were going to throw, don't run a slant. Pats could not stop Wilson, should have run the read option. they would have needed to throw once to use all 3 downs. The slant is a good call on the 50 yard line for a 1st down. Not on the 2 foot line to win the SB. The DB'S don't have to play back the way they do at the 50.

I believe Seatle used a timeout after the miracle catch. That TO was a mistake.
