I don't care who won the Cowboys Packers game. That being said that was a catch by Dez Bryant. The nfl rules and Ref system needs an overhaul.

I think he clearly caught it, had control then made a football move to extend the ball to try and score. But either way. It seemed like one of those plays that however they called it on the field would be how it stood.

Maybe they were overly sensitive to not making it look like they were going for the Cowboys.

Maybe so. But by the rules, he didn't catch it. You have to be able to go to ground and maintain control.

But it's always good to see Dallas loose.

Like pornography, I know it when I see it. That was a catch. Success in NFL is become more luck than skill. If you get the right officiating crew and luck out you can win. I watched all the games this weekend. There is zero consistency with the rules and Refs. The refereeing is horrible at best.

Yes, there is plenty of inconsistency. Fact remains that when he rolled the ball hit the ground, and was loose on his chest. No catch. And like obscenity, there are rules that govern it.

That's my point there are no consistent rules. I follow all the retired Refs on Twitter. They all disagree on the calls. go follow the Refs on twitter it is ROFL LOL FUNNY HOW CONFUSED EVERYONE IS. maybe you should be the ref if you understand it all. I know I don't.

We have not even talked about the non calls they bear hugged Gronk yesterday and did not call it. It was a 3rd down conversion..

So you're saying, run ten yards, or ten feet, if he bobbles the ball when he hits the ground, it's incomplete. That's ridiculous, just more hatin on the cowboys.
They've stretched that rule a little thin on this call. He clearly had possession, then not. That's a fumble. Only problem is, the ground can't cause a fumble. In fact, you see this sort of catch on lots of games. Funny how they trot that rule out on this one.
Notice how the boys didn't cry about it? Unlike other teams.

That call that just happened to the same extent in the Colts game. Called it a fumble them overturned. Same rule different result. Too much inconsistency for sure

Lol. Did you just see the "fumble" by the colts when catching a punt. They overturned the fumble. NO ONE AGREES. THE retired Refs all see it differently.

Oh no doubt the officiating is terrible. I don't remember the play but it was one that everybody was 'good call' but then it get overturned. They either need robots and laser scanning so it is always the same, or put the human element back in and you get whatever the call is. In my opinion.

Des is crying, that is for sure. And no that is not what I said at all. Way to completely miss the point in rushing to defend your team. Rah rah go team. It was not hating on the cowboys, it's how the rule is written right now.

Exactly, he had no chance to make a "football move" but they said he had possession even though he fumbled when he hit the ground. It's A joke. You need total luck on the calls to win. I am glad I don't gamble. I'd go crazy.

One reason why I never gambled on stuff I have no control over. My own stuff I had no issues putting a little $$ on, but games and crap like that? No way!

Bring on the Colts. PATS will probably be favored by 10. Looks like Pats are going to the Superbowl.
