What matters first and foremost is how well it fits in your hand and how well you can control it. If it is too big (or small), feels awkward, etc, then odds are, you're not going to do well with it. I carry concealed on a regular basis and I have for ~ 20 years, my first choice is my G22 and my second choice is a SW .357. Revolvers don't leave those pesky casings behind.

BTW, if you like cheap shots, get a 9mm, if you want a bit more stopping power and like to own what a whole lot of cops prefer and for many of the same reasons they carry them, get the G22 (ie, .40). Get some extra 15 round mags for it, for obvious reasons.

i am also looking at the Sig P250 compact. and no i am not getting it because it can change calibers and all the BS. Honestly, its the perfect size for concealed carry for me, its a .40 (the caliber i was wanting), and when I held it, it felt perfect.

I got my first handgun a few months ago. Its an XDm40 and its great! A friend of mine got an SR9 compact and I thought if felt kinda cheap. My dad just bought a Glock 22 but I have not had a chance to see it yet.

I really like the XDm40 tho, the 3.8" barrel is a perfect fit for me. The 3" felt small and the 4" to large. I guess the XDs come in 3.3, 4.5 and 5.25 barrel lengths.

I would just hold anything you like and see how it naturally sights for you. I looked at the glocks, sr9's and a few others. I also looked at the XD. The XDm was the best for myself.

I've got an m and p 15 that I love. Also a glock 17, 19 and a ruger lc9. The one I love the best is the lc9. Best handgun I've owned and I carry it everyday everywhere I go.
