Default Any Boxing Fans On Here?

I've always been a fan although more into the old timers than the current scene, I also like watching Muay Thai and MMA.

I use to watch it. Kinda boring to me now. I guess mma is why boxing is boring now.

I like to see blood and faces ripped open. People getting knocked out in within 45 seconds of the fight starting

Sounds like you'd make a good boxing coach.

Yes it does seem like MMA is taking over, though its no wonder when it takes a year of negotiations and contracts to set up a boxing match.

I like boxing. I tried to get into it for a while but due to some prior sports injuries, I wasn't able to keep up with the intense cardio.

Unfortunately, it seems to be a dying sport. Too bad though, the MMA stuff doesn't really do anything for me.

Boxing will never die, if anything MMA is getting more people into boxing gyms to work on there hands and then they stick with the boxing. Boxing has got the history and will always be around. I like both sports myself but only train at the boxing club to keep fit.

Well, I know it won't die, but I haven't got excited for a bout in quite some time. Next fight I'll probably watch will either be a local show or Hopkins vs. Jones JR in April.

I'd love to be training, but I tore a bunch of hip-muscles playing hockey about 5 years ago and even after a year of physiotherapy, I never regained the full strength. I try to do as much low-impact exercise as I can work into the schedule though.

Yea I have to admit it too, I used to like boxing, when it was nigel ben, Eubanks, Tyson, Nazeem, fighters like that were exciting!!
Ricky Fatton is a bit of a freak and bores me, bit I just can't get into I these days unless another exciting boxer comes along.
MMA is cool to watch, I watch it now and again have friends that either do MMA or similar, an have a mate that's very close to a pretty good well known uk fighter.

We need someone like you Sam to bring boxing back to the people!!

lol

What we need (in the UK at least) are some good exciting fights on terrestial television, like when Eubanks and Benn were fighting make it more mainstream.
