Bass Pro Shops was already a smaller sponsor, I think he has a car scheme with them once before. I guess they wanted to expand sponsorship is my best guess.

They went to a full sponsorship. The cars will actually have real body lines next year and not just decals. Ford will be using the new style of the Focus, Chevy will be using the SS, and Chrysler would be using the current Charger if there were going to be any. Penske Racing announced early on this season and has also remided everyone through out this season that they will be running Fords next season.

If I remember right, there is a legal reason behind cars not being sponsored by the social websites. I thought I heard somebody saying something about it on the sports channel.

I remember hearing something similar to that, but I just can't remember what or why.

Guys it still doesn't mean they can't sponsor a couple of races. For Example: The Subway Fresh Fit 400, or the Coca Cola 600. That would be the only sponsorship they'd be willing to do. They probably do sponsor some "grass roots" racing like SCCA, Nasa Pro Racing, U.S. Legends, etc.
