Well congrats you just proved that you're closed minded. As far as you calling everyone one involved with Nascar a "dumb redneck" that was a dumb thing to do considering that they made alot more money than you did last year and considering that alot of the drivers in Nascar have a college education, proves how wrong you are.

Ignore him because he's done proven that he's closed minded. Unless someone quotes his posts, I won't be able to see them because I added him to the ignore list.

Lol. I didn't say everyone I said most. Im very open minded. I tried watching it, just can't get into it. Just because they have a college education does not make them smart.
How do you know how much money I made last year? You know nothing about me or what I do. So how about you not be so ignorant and be so fast to judge just because I don't like something you do.

Just sayin.....
And I agree with you that Nascar is boring IMO. I do see what they do to get the cars going and I like that, but I can't stand sitting their for two hours while they clean up a wreck to watch 500 laps around an oval track. I'm more of a road course guy myself, and enjoy watching Joe the Plumber locally with their modified Chrysler Labarons.

Nascar may be boring (my opinion), but those drivers earn their money unlike baseball, football, or other sports. Also, only the top 3 finishers take home the money. Everyone else that finishes basically wasted his/her afternoon. It is also a growing sport, which is one reason it is so popular and televised like other events/sports. There is even Fantasy NASCAR for those interested. I happened to be listening to a sports show the other day, and the host was talking about Fantasy drafts. There is big money in them, and that is why there are so many participants. I, too, would rather watch Formula 1 than an oval race, but again that is my personal opinion. I wouldn't put someone down because their viewing habits, hobbies, etc. are different than mine.

I apologize dumb rednecks is a harsh thing to say, didn't want to offend anyone. I still stand firm that NASCAR is boring and sucks. I also think the drivers are a bunch of whining spoiled little punks. I get the skill and can respect the mechanics of What goes into the engines and the crafting of the car. I don't think however the drivers are as great as most make them to be. I think most people could be a competitive NASCAR driver in a short period of time.

Re: Smoke loses main sponsor....
whoa there - don't think I could disagree more. Office Depot is dropping out of NASCAR, not dropping Tony Stewart. Remember back about 2 years ago and Office Depot was sponsoring Roush Racing / Carl Edwards. Now you can't get more clean cut, goody two shoes image than Carl Edwards. Office Depot dropped Roush / Edwards because they wanted a winner. Last year, Stewart gave Office Depot a great return on their money by winning a championship. Stewart is in the Chase this year and already has 3 wins. I can assure you, Tony Stewart's personality is not the reason Office Depot is not sponsoring Stewart Haas. Just a dollars and cents business decision about how they want to spend their marketing dollars

I don't like him at all after seeing how much trouble he causes for nascar officials that is completely uncalled for.

Not quite right my friend on the pay outs. Here this should explain how much you can earn wether you win the race or finish last:
http://auto.howstuffworks.com/auto-r...ize-money1.htm
It also explains why they show up each and every week.

The economy did have alot to do with it. Smoke's attitude probably didn't help the situation either because I did see Smoke blow some pretty sweet sponsorship deals in the past before that I know he regrets to this day. But anyway the economic situation has really hurt all forms of racing.

Re: Smoke loses main sponsor....
I not a big Stewart fan, but I wounder if that helmet toss at Kenseth had anything to do with his sponsorship loss.
I thought it was pretty funny. If there's one thing we don't want, that's for the races to get boring.
Looks like Bruton fixed Bristol to me. All three races were good. The racing on Saturday night was awesome.
