Default Best low cost hand gun available...

Concealed carry, home defense, you name it... More rounds per clip, accurate, reliable, cheap... All that matters...

Elaborate.

I can rattle off a bunch of guns I think are great but what is good for me wont always be good for someone else. My suggestion is to find a local gun dealer that has a range so you can handle and try out a few and get a feel for them. Pistols are personal, they have to fit right. Also before you get flamed its a magazine, not a clip. lol

Glocks feel natural in my hand, love em. I carry a .40 everyday. Like he posted above me try some out, if not, at least go feel some. Get a holster that feels right also.

I just bought myself a carry pistol and got my permit since im 21 now,

I chose a Smith .40 M&P Compact.

I love this gun, its accurate for a compact, feels good in my hand, is extremely upgrade-able, and is very durable.

Gotta go check them all out and see what feels good to you. The Smith just felt natural to me.

Glock is baad because of lack of safety without major modification;

1911 is overcompensation for something, old ass tech [good for its time], and is far degraded as far as superiority...

As far as erroneously calling it a clip: whatever lol.. I am used to rim fires

I guess it's hard to even try out the guns since there is no real local shop or range...

I really want to try out the XDM series... preferably .45, 9mm seems to lack that "punch" for me

The best safety you can have is your finger.

That made me LOL. What is the 1911 over compensating for? It continues to be the standard to which all auto pistols are made to even now, they have been around for 100 years for a reason.

Yes also the accuracy out of the box is about 50% better then any hand gun on the market the tight tolerances and how it is made makes the gun a dead center nail driver, also nothin like having a .45 with hardly any recoil for what it should have my XD barks harder

Don't get me wrong I carry either my XDsc .40 or my 1911 sa champion. Both wonderful guns but I know I am a better shot with the 1911 hands down.
